She was predeceased by the love of her life, George in 2007. She leaves behind a daughter Gwen Johnston (Ken), a son Graham (Rosanne) and was predeceased by her son Ian in Egypt in 1949. Other immediate family members touched by this loss include her grandchildren Julie Eckert (Bryan Watson), Lauralee (Cameron) Veitch, Vanessa Yeats, Brendan Yeats and great grandchildren Megan Eckert and Logan Eckert. Many cousins, nieces and nephews mourn the loss. Madelon was predeceased by her parents Tom and Ella Mason of Summerhill, her brother Ray (Dorothy) Mason and her sister Marion (Ralph) Totten.
